Our Mission

Coastal Path – Discover Nature, Experience the Coast

We are a team of coast lovers and nature guides who connect people with the unique landscapes of the North and Baltic Seas. Our offer is aimed at everyone who wants not just to see the sea from the beach, but to truly experience its hidden corners and quiet moments. We stand for respectful travel, well-founded knowledge, and genuine encounters with nature – without haste, without artificiality.

01

Who we work for

Hikers, paddlers, mudflat walkers, and everyone who wants to experience the sea differently

Our tours and content are aimed at curious adults and families who seek the peace and diversity of the coastal landscape away from the crowded beaches. Whether it's a guided mudflat hike, a kayak trip to a secluded bay, or a hike along the high bank path – we accompany people who bring time and are open to what nature holds beyond the postcard motifs.

02

What sets us apart

No standard tours, but real discoveries on site

We work with local nature guides who know their home region inside out. Every route is scouted in advance, every season is taken into account. Our focus is on small groups, quiet modes of transport, and respect for the habitats we visit. We don't offer adventure on demand, but invite you to experience the coast at its own pace.

03

Our tone and attitude

Calm, factual, enthusiastic – but never exaggerated

We write and speak the way we travel: clear, direct, and without unnecessary pathos. A mudflat hike is not an "unforgettable adventure," but an encounter with mud, wind, and lugworms – which is precisely what makes it unforgettable. We avoid empty promises and instead rely on concrete descriptions, genuine impressions, and comprehensible information.

04

Why Coastal Path?

Because the coast is more than sand and a sun umbrella

Behind the name is the idea that every stretch of coast tells its own story – of tides, wind, salt, and the creatures that call it home. We want to help these stories be heard, and for travelers not just to consume the coast, but to understand it. Our offer is an invitation to sharpen your gaze and see the landscape with new eyes.

Our Team

Behind every discovery are people with a passion for the coast. Meet the faces that bring this platform to life.

More about us
Founder & Expedition Leader

Iris Fürst

Iris has explored the North and Baltic Sea coasts for over ten years. She knows the best mudflat hiking routes and the quietest bays for kayaking. Her tours are characterized by precise local knowledge and respect for nature.

Photographer & Coastal Ecologist

Richard Schranz

Richard documents the unique habitats of the coastal regions. His pictures show rare bird species and the changes in the dune landscapes. He advises on route selection and provides tips for wildlife observation.

Editor & Guide

Marlene Seewald

Marlene writes the tour descriptions and takes care of the content. She studied geography and regularly leads groups through the Wadden Sea. Her focus is on understandable explanations of the tidal world.

Cartographer & Technology

Felix Brandner

Felix creates the detailed maps for the hiking and paddling routes. He ensures that the route descriptions are precise and the tide times are correctly indicated. Without his work, navigation on site would be unsafe.

Why We Take This Path

Coastal Path was born from the conviction that genuine nature experiences sharpen the focus on what truly matters. We show you the quiet coves, the rugged cliffs, and the vibrant tidal flats – without haste, without staging.

Preserving Untouched Coastlines

Each route is chosen to avoid disturbing the sensitive flora and fauna. We work with local rangers and stick to designated paths.

Your visit protects nature instead of burdening it.

Discovery at Your Own Pace

Whether it's a mudflat hike at low tide or a kayak trip through the skerries, our tours allow for personal breaks, spontaneous detours, and immersion in the silence of the landscape.

You set the pace, not the itinerary.

Knowledge That Connects

Behind every stretch of coast lies a story: of tides, rock layers, or ancient trade routes. We share this knowledge in small groups so that it sticks.

After the tour, you will see the coast with different eyes.

Community by the Sea

Our guests are not customers, but fellow travelers. Many return year after year to explore new sections together or simply to listen to the waves on the beach.

Encounters grow into friendships that last beyond the journey.
